Continuing EducationThe Nevada State Board of Accounting requires active members to complete 80 hours of continual education every two years. We strive to have a minimum of 50 hours each year for our professional staff. All members of our professional staff completed their required ethics courses in 2007. Quality Control ProcessesAs a member of the AICPA, we are required to have a peer review every three years. Peer reviews involve an independent, rigorous examination of a member firm’s system of quality control with respect to its accounting and auditing practice. The peer review process also encompasses reviewing reports, financial statements and relevant working papers for a representative sample engagements and issuing a written opinion and , if applicable, a letter of comment on the quality control process. |
